File keeps downloading through notepad

I appreciate your reply, but I'm here because that easy fix doesn't fix my problem. All PDF files were and always are associated with Adobe Reader, but I really don't know why they open in Notepad instead of Adobe Reader! I don't want to right-click EVERY time I
