I have done the following: Installed Steam at C:\My docs\Apps\Gmz\Steam (that is to say, not Program Files) Got Skyrim Special Edition as a gift on Steam. Installed it. Installed Skyrim Script Extender for Skyrim SE; Installed Nexus Mod Manager I've been played skyrim for several years and enjoyed it .. lots of mods yep tried heaps. With getting crashes at a high level I decided to restart. I am restarting so currently No save games No active mods I do still have NMM current with all 200 odd deactivated mods. I physically deleted all mod data files to recycle bin. Download a mod you want to install either manually or through NMM. One of the major bonuses of using the Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) over manually installing your mods is that it makes it a lot easier for you to actually download and install mods off of the Nexus sites. If you do not use a mod manager you have to manually download and save your files to your hard-drive and then either manually extract files in the Simple issue but I can't remember the fix. When I click the download with NMM on the Nexus site, my browser will open mod organizer instead. Which would be fine but I am unfamilar with the program and can work NMM better. I have been downloading manually and just installing that way but that doesn't seem to be an option with some mods. If the Nexus Mod Manager still doesn’t work, then switching to Vortex can be helpful for downloading mods. Vortex is the nice middle ground between Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) and Mod Organizer (MO). It has a few features that are better and not available on the other ones. I just got a new computer, so I'm going to install all the graphics mods my old laptop couldn't handle. But, I can't download any mods with the nexus mod manager. I click the file, the little popup with the loading cirlce comes up, then it goes away but no downloads que in the manager. I'm still waiting to hear back on their forums but thought maybe one of you guys would know of a fix/workaround.
